Workflow: Create Portfolio Status Report From DB 39.5.10

Access

Procedure
  • Open the PLANTA project Client.
  • Enter the demo user as portfolio manager R70 in the upper input field.
    • Demo users do not possess passwords, so no input is necessary in the second field.
  • Confirm with OK.
  • Select Portfolio Management Planning and Reports Multi-Portfolio Board in the User Menu.
  • Click on the ID of the required portfolio in the Portfolios module.
    • The Portfolio panel is opened, the Dashboard module is focused.
    • Click on the Status module tab.
      • The Status module is activated.
        • If there already are status reports for the selected portfolio, they are listed at the bottom module margin of the Portfolio status reports area.

Configure Status Report

Procedure
  • Enter the name for the report in the header in the Report field and select the month for which the status report is to apply from the for* listbox.
  • Make estimates on factors like costs, dates, etc.
    • by clicking on the » Change estimate button in the Estimate area (EinschaetzungDB10_1.png, EinschaetzungDB10_2.png, or EinschaetzungDB10_3.png).
      • If no thumb symbol is displayed, this means that no estimate is available.
    • Enter or edit comments on the required factors if necessary.
  • Assign a released status report to the respective planning object assigned to the portfolio in the Planning objects with status report selection area.
    • To do so, click on the ButtonStatusberichtZuordnenDB10.png Assign a status report to the planning object button. If the planning object has no released status reports, a message indicating this is displayed.
      • The Assign Status Report selection module is opened.
      • Click on the required status report.
        • The status report is assigned to the selected planning object.
    • Define whether the data (from the selected status report) of the respective planning object is considered and displayed in the Time&Budget matrix by setting or removing the checkmark in the TBM display checkbox.
    • The configuration of the new portfolio status report is thus completed.
    • The portfolio status report can now be created (frozen).

Freeze Status Report

Procedure
  • After the required configurations have been made, click on the Create status report button.
  • Confirm the Are all entries (estimates/comments) and assignments (status reports to planning objects) complete and up-to-date? message with Yes.
  • The Portfolio Status Reports module is opened.
    • The status report is now created.

Details

  • In the Portfolio Status Report module, the created status report can be released, printed as a PDF, or deleted by clicking on the respective buttons.

Note

  • Released status reports cannot be deleted. In order to delete them, the status of the status reports must be set back to “created” by canceling the release.
