Access path

  • Customizer Databases Relationship Check

Information

  • This module shows all DB instances saved under the current license.

Procedure

  • For the required DB instance, activate the Relationship check checkbox.
  • Save.
    • The respective DB instance is checked on the existence of incorrect or invalid data.
    • A file with the following structure is created:
      • relation_check_"SchemanameQ1-7B".chk
        • Example: relation_check_Q1B.chk
    • This file is stored in the PLANTA work directory.
    • The ASCII file created can be viewed in a text editor (e.g. Notepad).

Details

  • In this module, you can activate the consistency check for I-texts or hyperlinks via the Consistency check parameter.

Analysis of Relationship Check Files

Information
  • The relationship check displays where in the database parent records of records are missing.
  • The I-text check runs twice. In the first run, the sources of found I-text rudiments are checked and in case of a missing I-text component, the I-text is regenerated from the source. In the second run, I-texts for which definitely no more sources exist are deleted.

General Output Information

Line Example Description Editing
Data table DTXXX has no upper relations Data table DT458 has no upper relations Informs you that a relationship check is not performed since the data table has no parent data table none
Rows found 7 rows found in data table DT458 This number of "rows" (records) was found in this data table. No errors could be detected in the data table. none
Rows proof 7 rows proof in data table DT458 Informs you how many rows have been checked (without errors). Comes along with rows found. none

Relationship Check

Line Example Description Editing
Check key DT456 check DT412 Key: DI 26885 = - not found In the first mentioned data tables, there is
a record which does not exist in the second mentioned, parent
data table. The record ID is defined by the mentioned DIs. The DIs are visualized without preceding zeroes.
Build direct modules on the data tables,
check records and
delete redundant child records,
or recreate the parent records if necessary.
No rows found No rows found in data table 514 In this data table, no records to be checked have been found. none

Example

  • Output in the chk file: DT826 check DT824 Key: DI 8497 = 000693 DI 8514 = 000006 DI 8498 = 24508 not found
    • Segmented:
      • DT826 check: in this data table, the inconsistent record has been found
      • DT824 Key: this is the parent data table in which the corresponding record does (no longer) exist
      • DI 8497 = 000693: first DI of the key of the data table with value, here hence project ID=000693
      • DI 8514 = 000006: second DI of the key of the data table with value, here hence report ID=000006
      • DI 8498 = 24508: third DI of the key of the data table with value, here hence task ID=24508
        • (depending on the data table, there can be 2-6 keys)

I-text Check

Line Example Description Editing
has no I-text DT454 check Key: DI 1065 = 00000022 DI 1066 = 100 DI1217 with I-number 36255 has no itext Informs you on the found I-number without source for the I-text. none. Is automatically regenerated by the relationship check or deleted if necessary. In a second check run, the records should no longer be displayed.
has no source key DT435 check Key: DI 1538 = 625003889 DI 1550 = DE has no source key Informs you that no sources have been found for the I-text in the first round and the I-text / I-number has been deleted. none. In a second check run, the records should no longer be displayed.
