Risks/Opportunities MOD009BE3 Up to DB 39.5.10

This module for editing risks and opportunities is only available up to version DB 39.5.10. From version DB 39.5.10, risks and opportunities of ideas and proposals are edited in the 0099D8 Risks/Opportunities module.

Access path

From DB 39.5.9

Up to DB 39.5.9

  • Idea (Proposal) panel Risks/Opportunities
  • Information

    • In this module, risks and opportunities are created and edited based on the risk or proposal.

    Details

    From DB 39.5.7

    • Damage and gross profit values of the selected idea or proposal are displayed in the respective area heading bars. NEW The idea/proposal values are sums of the respective values from individual active risks/opportunities. The values of the inactive risks/opportunities are not considered in idea/proposal values.
    • Below the area bars, individual risks and opportunities are listed and can be edited and new risks and opportunities can be created.

    From DB 39.5.0

    • In the respective area heading bars, summarized damage and gross profit values are displayed, which result from all collected risks and opportunities of the proposal/idea, regardless of whether they are active or inactive, except the Probable value. Since this value is only calculated for active risks and opportunities (see notes under Create Risk), it is only summarized for active risks and opportunities in the sum area.
      • NEW The sum values are updated directly after changes made to risks and opportunities have been saved.
    • Below the area bars, individual risks and opportunities are listed and can be edited and new risks and opportunities can be created.

    Up to DB 39.5.0

    • In the respective area heading bars, summarized damage and gross profit values are displayed, which result from all collected risks and opportunities of the idea/proposal, regardless of whether they are active or inactive, except for the Probable value. Since this value is only calculated for active risks and opportunities (see notes under Create Risk), it is only summarized for active risks and opportunities in the sum area.
      • For newly created ideas/proposals, the respective area heading bar remains empty, even after Risks/Opportunities have already been created. Only if projects have been opened anew, the sum values in the area bars are visible. When further creating risks/opportunities, the sum values are updated immediately after saving.
    • Below the area bars, individual project risks and project opportunities can be created and edited.

    Risks

    Information

    • Risk management is the systematic collection, evaluation, and controlling of different risks.
    • Risks increase costs or lead to provisions.
    • In order to achieve suitable preventive and protective measures you have to identify new risks at an early stage and re-evaluate known risks continuously.

    Create Risks

    Procedure

    From DB 39.5.7

    • Create a new risk record by right-clicking on the module header or on an already existing risk record and selecting Insert Risk from the context menu.
    • Enter the name in the Risk field.
    • Select the required category from the listbox.
    • The amount of damage possible due to the occurring risk is specified in the Possible field (EUR).
    • Enter the probability in the Probability field (in %).
    • The probable amount of damage is calculated in the Probable field from the values in the Possible and Probability fields. If measures are subsequently added to the risk, their values are taken into account in the calculation of the probable damage as well.
    • If required, you can go ahead and fill other fields and save subsequently.
    Notes
    • All newly created risks are active by default (Active checkbox).
    • If risks are deactivated,
      • they are not considered in evaluations and status reports.
      • they are not displayed in the charts.
      • the probable damage in the Probable field is not calculated for such risks either.

    Up to DB 39.5.7

    • Create a new risk record by right-clicking on the module header or on an already existing risk record and selecting Insert Risk from the context menu.
    • Enter the name in the Risk field.
    • When leaving the name field, the ID is generated automatically.
    • Select the required category from the listbox.
    • Specify the amount of damage (EUR) in the Possible damage field in the Damage area.
    • Enter the probability of occurrence in the Probability field (in %).
    • The probable amount of damage is calculated in the Probable damage field from the values in the Possible damage and Probability fields. If measures are subsequently added to the risk, their values are taken into account in the calculation of the probable damage as well.
    • If required, you can go ahead and fill other fields and save subsequently.
    Notes
    • All newly created risks are active by default (Active checkbox).
    • If risks are deactivated, they are not considered in evaluations and status reports. The probable damage in the Probable damage field is not calculated for such risks either.
