Complete Projects

Information

  • A project is complete when the project target is achieved. The project completion is the official end point of a project. Subsequently, no effort values for achieving the project target can occur.
  • In some cases projects end because of cancellation.
  • Irrespective of whether a project is completed or canceled, a project in PLANTA is only finished after certain steps have taken place within the program.

To complete a project in PLANTA project you have to perform following:

  • Finish all tasks by setting end dates.
  • Carry out the capacity scheduling.
  • Create a final status report.
  • Unload the project. All plan loads are then deleted, the actual loads are still available.
    • For this, select the Edit Scheduling Unload menu item.
  • Set the project to the Archive status.
    • For this, select value Archive from the listbox on the Status field in the Attributes/Parameters area in the Project Core Data module.
