Framework of Update Procedures

Information

• An update from PPMS 3.7 or 3.8 to PLANTA project costs
  • 3 MT and takes 5 MT if complete and proper source data is delivered to PLANTA and collected again.
  • 4 MT and takes 6 MT if complete and proper source data is collected and delivered and collected again.
• An update from PLANTA project to a new PLANTA release costs
  • 1.5 MT and takes 3 MT if complete and proper source data is delivered to PLANTA and collected again.
  • 2.5 MT and takes 4 MT if complete and proper source data is collected and delivered and collected again.

Details

• Update costs and effort do not diminish upon pure data update.
• For additional effort, additional costs acrue, e.g., if
  • data are sent/collected for the first time.
  • data corrections must be made.
  • special transaction rules must be incorporated.
  • the update must be carried out over a weekend.
  • an update of archive data is carried out.

Notes

• in the course of an update from PPMS 3.7 or 3.8 to PLANTA project 39, only productive data is transferred.
• If archive data are required in the active target system, they must be transferred to the active source manually by the customer or customer advisor.
  • These are then transferred by the standard update.
• If you want the update to be carried out for archive data as well, they are transferred to a second, separate system.
