Project Management by Process Models

Information

  • PLANTA project provides you with a means to base your project management on process models.
  • Depending on your company requirements, different process models can be used and assigned to the planning objects (projects, proposals).

  • In the project/proposal panel of each project, the Process Status module is made available, in which you can select and load a process model required for the processing of the project/proposal in question.
    • A process model consists of process steps which contain particular instructions or specifications for the actions (steps) required in project planning/controlling. The process steps within the models are grouped by phases and it is possible to control phase transitions within the respective process model following specific rules.
  • If a process model has been selected and activated for a project, a status line which shows the status (phase) of project planning or controlling will be displayed in the Dashboard and Info Board project info modules

  • The process models offered for selection are recorded as master data in the Process Model Templates module. The PLANTA software scope of supply already includes some demo process models, including such that comply with the DIN 69901/1-5 norm for project processes, and can thus be used as a template for the creation of individual models.
  • The Process Rules module, another master data module, provides an option for defining different rules in line with which articular checks can for instance be carried out on process steps or process actions can be executed automatically.

The Process Model Workflow tutorial provides you with a clearly illustrated description of how process models can be used in PLANTA project.
