Request Workflow

Introduction

Objective

• First-time users should learn how to use the program and its functions on the basis of typical use cases.

Notes

• All exercises are based on the PLANTA demo data. This data must be installed beforehand.
  • The master data such as the calendar, resources, users, hourly rates etc. has already been set up in the demo data. This tutorial does not cover how the master data is defined (for this, see Master Data Collection). Instead, it is about how to plan a new project in addition to the already existing ones, and to show the effects of this.

Start Request

Task

• The multi project manager wants to get an overview of his requests.

Procedure

• Start the client.
• Enter R50 for the request manager.
• Press OK.
• The Multi Request Board panel with the Request main module is opened.
  • The Request module gives an overview of all requests.

Create New Request (R50)

• Click on the button request in the Request module or click on the New Request in the user menu.
• The Request panel and the focused Request module is opened. A new request can be created.
• Enter the following data:
  • Request name: RE-01
    • The ID number for the request is generated automatically. But if required it can be changed.
  • Manager: Koch (PL), Rainer
  • Subject area: General Functions
  • Category: Feature
• Save.
• Other entries may be added at a later point in time if required.
