An individual PowerPoint template is required for each export option.
It is a regular PowerPoint file with different key words and placeholders which are replaced during export.
This enables you to organize the layout and the design of the presentation in Microsoft PowerPoint with the common WYSIWYG tools.
The export does not only fill the regular slides but also the slide and handout master.
Notes
The export is only approved for templates with *.pptx file ending which have been created and revised with Microsoft PowerPoint from version 2013.
Export types
Text
Information
When exporting text, arbitrary values from the PLANTA software are inserted as text at arbitrary positions on PowerPoint slides.
These positions are defined in the template with the help of key words.
The text export does not only work with Alpha fields, but with all field types in general (exception: OLE fields).
Tables
Information
The table export is required if you want to export a data area with several records.
To do so, a table must be defined in the PowerPoint template.
The export function extends this table by as many characters as there are records and inserts the values accordingly.
Template
Information
The template
contains defined placeholders which are filled by the export
is located in the Main/GUI/Templates/ client directory.
For each implemented export variant, a default template is contained in the client and can be adjusted individually.
Notes
Placeholders are replaced if respective exportable data exists in the PLANTA software. If there is no data, the text of the placeholder is not kept as such in the exported PowerPoint file.
