Scale Areas

Informations

  • A scale area serves to summarize scale fields.
  • Scale areas must always be customized via data areas with date related data fields (e.g. date bars, projections).
  • For special display, time scales can also be at position different from the first position in a module.
Example
  • Project area
    • Scale area
      • Task area
Here, an own time scale with the task bars underneath is displayed above the predecessors of each project.
The project data area may not contain bars or other values to be displayed below a scale.

Procedure

  • Create and assign a new data area in the required module..
  • Define the data area as scale area by setting the DA class to 1.
  • Assign the required scale fields to the sale area: one data field for each grid.
    • e.g. DI002101 Scale CW GL/HL/HF for week grid.
  • Set the DF behavior parameter = o and the Filter criteria parameter = Unchecked (except for day scales).
  • Define the scale on the module data area assignment level for the scale area.

Rule for positioning bars and projection values below time sales.

  • Bars and other data fields are displayed in the data field layout order in a line next to each other.
  • In the DF layout, projected values are displayed side-by-side (including the first line).

Synchronization of scales

  • When e.g. every project has its own scale, all should receive the same sale and have the same start or end dates.
