This module is an auxiliary module and therefore it has no stand-alone function. It is a mere list from which portfolios can be selected and to/from which planning objects can be assigned/removed.
Here, all portfolios are divided into two sections:
My portfolios: here portfolios are listed in which the logged-on user is portfolio manager and to which the current planning object is not assigned.
Already assigned portfolios: here portfolios are listed to which the current planning object is already assigned, regardless of who the portfolio manager is.
Procedure
To assign the planning object to the required portfolio or remove it from the portfolio,
click on the link on the portfolio ID, or,
when the project is to be assigned to or deleted from several portfolios, mark the required records and click on the respective button.
If you make an assignment, a dialog message is opened querying whether the portfolio to which the planning object has just been assigned is to be opened.
Details
The assignments can be created and deleted either by the respective portfolio manager or by another user that has portfolio manager rights.
Attention
Assignments of planning objects to several portfolios are generally possible, however, PLANTA does not recommend multiple assignments.
If a planning object is assigned to several portfolios, the budget of the planning object will not be compared against the portfolio budget, which may impair the view of the budgets in the portfolio.
