Information

• This module is an auxiliary module for manual transfer of status report data after update to DB 39.5.7.

Details

• In database version 39.5.7, the End date and Milestones areas have been merged to a combined Dates area in the Status and Status Report modules.
• The Estimate (DI029115/DI029211) and Comment (DI029194/DI029200) fields used in the new Dates area stem from the former Milestones area, so that comments and estimates entered for milestones/master milestones are still visible in the Status module and in all status reports after update.
  • The Estimate (DI029114/DI029210) and Comment (DI029191/DI029197) fields used in the former End date area are not contained in the new Dates area. However, the data of this area can be copied manually to the Estimate (DI029115/DI029211) and Comment (DI029194/DI029200) fields of the new area with the help of the present module if required.

Procedure

• The module is divided into two windows.
  • In W1 you can see the fields of the combined Dates area which are the fields from the former Milestones area at the same time.
  • In W2, the fields are from the former End date area.
  • For each project,
    • the fields for the data from the current planning (DT461), which can be viewed in the Status module,
    • and the fields for the data from the frozen reports (DT823), which can be viewed in the Status module, are offered.
• Copy the required data from the fields in W2 to the respective fields in W1.
• Save.

Details

• There are two buttons in the module via which you can quickly copy the data of all records at once:
  • Summarize comments
    • When clicking on the button, all comments from W2 are copied additively to the respective fields in W1. Since the permitted character set in comment fields is restricted to 3000 characters, it may occur that the comments cannot be summarized. In this case, a message with specification of the projects in which comments are to be adjusted is displayed.
  • Summarize estimates
    • Upon clicking it is checked which of the two values (in W1 and W2) is worse, and this value is then applied. If there is no value in W1, the value from W2 is applied, regardless of whether the value is positive or negative.

Caution!

• This module is merely a tool for one-time adjustment of data after update.
• It is to be used with utmost care since it does not check the rights of the user.
  • Estimates and comments of all projects and reports are displayed and can be changed or deleted irretrievably deleted.
