User Menu is a module which is displayed on the left hand side of the screen and contains the following data:
Links to the panels with editing or view modules
The links in the user menu are grouped by work area and role
Work areas and roles are grouping units in PLANTA
Which roles are contained in the respective user menu depends on the rights of the user and of his/her project role.
NEW Direct links to the panels of the recently viewed planning objects (projects, programs, ideas, proposals) and planning objects marked as favorite
Name of the logged on user.
Details on the Recently viewed and Favorites areas NEW
Recently viewed: Here, the last planning objects opened by the logged-on user are listed. The number of listed objects is variable and is determined by the quick_launch_amount parameter.
The number of objects to be displayed is only checked upon session start, so that if within a session more objects than defined are opened, they will all be displayed under Recently viewed.
Favorites: Favorites are all planning objects marked with a yellow star symbol. A planning object can be marked as a favorite in its core data module (Project Core Data, Proposal Core Data, Program Core Data, Idea Core Data), or if it is already listed under Recently viewed, you can mark it as favorite here by clicking on the blue star symbol. The star then turns yellow and the respective planning object becomes a favorite.
A planning object is not displayed in both areas at the same time, i.e. if a planning object is opened and marked as a favorite, it is only displayed in the favorite area.
Notes
NEW If no further panel is opened, the user menu is the sole component of the own panel and it can be repositioned just like in other panels.
The behavior of the user menu window is set to "floating" by default but can be fixed if necessary.
