Report to Future Overhead Costs
Objective
To report hours to the future overhead cost tasks.
Information
The existence of overhead cost projects with the corresponding tasks (e.g. vacation, sickness), is a requirement for reporting the hours to the overhead costs.
Move to the week for which you want to report overhead costs by pressing the arrow buttons.
In the Actual postings also for the future (overhead costs,...) area, the overhead cost project(s) is (are) displayed with its (their) corresponding tasks.
Click on the line of the required overhead cost task in the scale area below the required date and enter the hours.
Save.
A load record is created and can be viewed and edited in the left window by expanding the tree structure of the respective task.
In the Comment field, a comment on the load record can be entered.
If the date is manually changed in the Date field, the load record is automatically moved under the scale as well.
Enter the hours for all required days in the same way and save.
Notes
The actual hours entered here are also displayed in the Reported hours: future area in the Reporting Hours Worked module.
In the Reporting Hours Worked module, hours can also be reported to overhead cost projects / overhead cost tasks.
Reverse Postings
Information
If incorrect actual load records have been created, PLANTA expressively recommends that you do not delete them but reverse postings.
Incorrect load records can occur, e.g., if an incorrect project or an incorrect task has been reported or if the key date has already been exceeded.
Create a new record with the same date as in the reference record below the posting record to be reverse.
In the Actual load field, you have to enter the same number of hours as in the reference record with a minus symbol.
Save.
Note
You have to make sure that reverse postings are made to the same date as the incorrect postings.
Stop
As long as no capacity scheduling has been carried out for the affected project after the reporting of actual loads, it is still possible to delete the reported actual value directly (no load record!). But as there is no indication whether capacity scheduling run, it should only be done in consultation with the responsible project manager, because otherwise project data could be manipulated.
Lock/Limit Reported Hours Worked (Entry of Hours Worked)
Information
The entry of hours worked can completely be locked via the Locked (Project) or Locked task parameters or limited via the Key date performance model parameter.
